Frequently Asked Questions
Are helicopter tours safe?
YES! This tour operates in Bell 407 and Bell 206 helicopters, technologically safe aircraft featuring powerful engines and enhanced avionics, resulting in a smooth ride with technical flight characteristics that make these aircraft a dream to operate and fly.
How experienced are the pilots?
These professional aviators are factory trained with thousands of hours flying helicopters, and are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. Your safety is their #1 priority.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, you can bring your children. There is no child discount for children above the age of 2. All children ages 2 and up must be strapped into a seat. Children under 2 years of age are free and must ride on an adult's lap (heliport fees still apply for infant passengers). Children who have a photo ID (passport, student ID, etc.) must present it upon check-in.
Can I take pictures?
Yes, please do!
Why am I required to show up 45 minutes prior to flight time?
Extra time is required to check in, go through security, secure your belongings, weigh in, watch a safety video, and be fitted with a life vest. Failure to arrive so may result in extended delays, or forfeiture of your flight.
How is seating in the helicopter arranged?
Seating in the helicopter is arranged by weight and balance to maximize safety and security. Persons with disabilities will be accommodated accordingly. If you reserved your flight with other people, they will fly with you but may or may not sit next to you aboard the aircraft. Safety is first priority when it comes to seating arrangements.
Who else will be in the helicopter?
You will either fly with three other passengers or five other passengers, depending on the aircraft dispatched that day. Aircraft are chosen for passengers based on weight and balance to maximize safety and security.
What can I bring on the helicopter?
You are permitted to bring a camera, phone, and glasses/sunglasses aboard the aircraft. Purses, bags, handbags, camera bags, scarves, hats, and other loose items of clothing will need to stay at the heliport in a private, secure locker.
