There is a $5.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Amish Country Tour with Buggy Ride from New York Description

Itinerary:

You will start you tour at 7:30 am in midtown Manhattan, 8th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Street(by Duane Reade) DON'T BE LATE! Come 15 minutes early to check in. You will be greeted by your tour guide for the day. You will sign a liability waiver, and after departure a light breakfast will be served on board the coach.

The tour will begin with a drive to the oldest Amish community in America Amish country in Lancaster County. Step back in time and experience the life and heritage of the Amish community. Learn about the daily life of a self sufficient community that has remained true to their beliefs meanwhile the rest of the world has changed.

Enjoy an educational guided tour through a 1840's Amish farm house and see a one room schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop and farm animals typical for the Amish community. You will also have the opportunity of buying authentic Amish art, handicrafts and homemade jams and jellies.

You will then enjoy an all you can eat buffet lunch including traditional Amish dishes.

After lunch you get to experience how the Amish travel, in an original Amish buggy. Take a leisurely trip through the back roads of the Amish country side.

You will also stop by a real non-commercial working Amish farm where you will learn more about the Amish farm lifestyle.

A late afternoon departure means arrival back in NYC at approximately 8:00-8:30 pm.

What to Bring and Wear:

ID: Due to heightened national security, you must bring a valid government issued photo identification.

CLOTHES: Dress according to the weather. If the weather is hot you should still always bring a light jacket or a sweater, because the temperature in Crystal Cave is a constant 54 degrees.

WATER: In a plastic bottle, especially on hot days. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

CAMERA: With extra film/memory is highly recommended.

CASH: Although your tour is classified as "all inclusive," it is advisable to bring some cash for souvenirs and gratuity for the guide - which is left to your discretion.

AN OPEN MIND: Although this is a recreational/leisure tour, you will also learn about geology, history and learn about the lifestyle of the Amish people.

Can I take my child on the tour?
Due to the nature of this tour and the extra supervision required, we DO NOT allow any children under the age of 6. Every child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I smoke on the bus?
No, but smoke stops will be made.

Does the bus have restrooms?
Yes, the bus is equipped with a lavatory.

What language is spoken on your tour? All tours are guided in English. Upon prior request for groups of 12 people or more, a translator can be provided. However, the experiences on this tour usually transcend language.

Do I need to be in great physical shape to join your tour? No, our tours are based on leisure adventure. Anyone in relatively good health can participate. There is some walking on this tour. We strongly recommend that people with the following medical conditions DO NOT join our tour:

Difficulty ascending and descending stairs

Will your tour accommodate an individual in a wheelchair or with a stroller? Unfortunately, No. Due to the fact that most of the venues visited are natural habitats, there is no wheelchair or stroller accessibility.

How safe are the tours? All possible steps are taken to ensure your safety. All tour guides have basic first aid qualifications. We pride ourself on running safe tours and reserve the right to change the tour itinerary without any notice to protect participants from any injuries. The tours are carefully structured to minimize any potential injuries and there are rules to be followed to ensure your safety. PLEASE NOTE: Joining this tour is at your own risk.

What is the lunch like? We do the best to ensure that your lunch will always be a quality experience. We have chosen great partners and all menus have been taste-tested. Lunch will either be at a diner/restaurant or box/picnic lunch outdoors in nature. Non-alcoholic beverages will be served during lunch. Vegetarian options will always be provided.

Can I/we consume alcohol or take drugs during or before a tour?
No. Apart from essential medication, drug use and consumption of alcohol is NOT permitted prior to or during our tour. Except where alcohol beverages can be purchase during the lunch break. Participants suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to join our tour. Participants suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the tour will be removed.
